I bought this chess set as a birthday gift, and it's been great so far. It's small enough to travel with, but still a decent sized board. I also like that when the set is closed, it looks like a book and can blend into a bookcase for storage. The only issue is that the pieces don't fit well into their 'slots' inside the board. If we try too hard, the felt starts to rip so we just pile all the pieces in wherever we can.

Our grandnephew is just beginning to play chess and we were looking for a chess set for his 12th birthday. I wanted an easily stored chess set at a really good price, and I am very pleased with this one. I have started to play chess with my grandson on video chat. I bought him a bigger set, but I wanted something more convenient for myself.
