The board had some kind of small stain on it. It seemed like some kind of dried glue or something, I carefully scratched some of it off and just left the rest alone. I provided a picture both to show the spot and just to show the scale of the board and pieces. It's right in between the two left pawns.

I opened the foam case I immediately see the chess board (no other pre-packaging box).
I opened the chess drawers, the back of one of the drawer was already broken (photo attached). The other drawer was fine.
Inside the drawers, one set of the chess pieces was in an unopened clear plastic bag and they looks new. The other set of chess pieces the clear plastic bag was opened and retaped. Some pieces were sitting in the bag and some pieces were just left in the drawer - chipped (photo attached).
This is a Santa gift for my 10 years old son. I am so disappointed.
Big wonders if the company check their products before sending out to customers. If this chess set does not come with pre-boxing (as I received it), the defaults on this set is obvious & should it still be sent to customer in that condition??
I will not shop from this company again. I don't want another disappointmnt esp. at xmas time!

I love this chess set. My boyfriend plays and my seven year old wants to learn how so I thought it would be nice for the boys to have a decent set to play. I looked at quite a few websites and came across this one, the reviews for this were great. I like the look of this set, I like the wood material, the pieces are perfect. It's a great piece and will compliment any room. The price was great and it got here in three days in perfect condition. I don't know much about chess but even so I know when I get a good deal and I feel confident in saying that with this set. Thank you so much!

good quality, classic looking chess set. I bought it for my 12y.o. as a Birthday present and he is in awe.
In terms of colors the set was less " orangy" or I would say - less bight- than shown on the website's photo, colors are more dull. Overall beautiful piece of art:)

The chess set came in 3 days, and was in perfect condition! I was very impressed with the high quality grade of wood, and the perfect fit of the drawers. The surface is well designed and very smooth. Its a professional job, and it looks great!

Play and display openly in my home. I have ordered another set for travel or tournament play.
I like the look and feel. The board really complements the set. We started to get the featured 15 inch board and set, which was somewhat less, but this upgrade was well worth the difference in price.
Other reviews have mentioned the drawer pulls come loose. We had same problem, but easily fixed. My only real con is that your QC should already have been aware of this and resolved it.
