Well in my opinion its a very good looking set. But when i got up close there were a couple issues. First off every piece but a couple knights were really well made. These two knights looked chipped and crooked but i got over it. Second is that a small portion on one side of the board was really rough, unlike the smooth surface of the rest of the board. Again i got over that as well. Overall though i love the set and would buy it again in a heartbeat.

I bought this for my son as a high school graduation gift. He just started learning how to play chess online a few months ago, but he didn't have an real board at home. So I decided to get this set to further stimulate his interest in chess AND to cut down the amount of time he spends online playing chess on his laptop!! The chess board is really crafted well for the price. So much so, it now sits out on our coffee table and is a great way to bring the family together.
