The chessboard is constructed of solid hardwood. Choose a 15-inch cherry or oak board or the marbled wood storage board, each with 1.75L x 1.75W inch squares, for the smaller set; choose an 18-inch walnut board or 19-inch cherry or maple board, each with 2L x 2W inch squares, for the larger set.
