I am very pleased with the tiered board. The very small issue is that there are a few small gaps between some of the squares, and a few have small "ridge" transitions between squares of same height. Frankly, I like that -- it appears more hand-made than machine churned out. I have added stick-on felt pads since the board will rest on fine furniture.

I was looking for a board large enough for my new Isle Of Lewis pieces, this board has beautiful wood that nicely compliments the colors of my pieces. But the great thing is the multi-level playing surface. It adds a new feel to the game. I lost my previous multi-level board decades ago and have wanted to find another ever since. Now here it is and in the exact size I need. It is beautiful and a real compliment generator.

Product showed some signs of manufacturing defects: a corner appeared to have been repaired and there were some gaps in the spacing of squares where glue could be seen.
Service and delivery comments:
Delivery was prompt but product was shipped in original Chinese manufacturer's container with no foam peanuts or bubble wrap to protect it. One corner of board showed a small "ding" that appeared to occur during shipping as the container was dented in the same location.
