    I use this box to store my pewter chess pieces when I'm not playing. I was given the money by my grandfather to order a chess set and storage case so we could play together. I was surprised to see that this box locks, which makes me want to get another for some other valuables I have. It's a nice sturdy box, with a smooth felt inside. It's durable, holding up to my 'abuse' so far.
    The only thing that I don't like is the outside scratches pretty easy, but that's to expect with a soft leather outside.

            I expected individual padded compartments instead of just a lined box. I bought the box for a collector's set, clearly spending less was not a good decision. This box would be best for a basic chess piece set for containment not necessarily protection.
